NHS

The National Honor Society (NHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. ECA’s National Honor Society works toward community service and character building.

Student Council

ECA’s student council is a group of elected and volunteer students working together to provide a means for student expression and assistance in school affairs and activities, give opportunities for student experience in leadership and encourage students. Stuco also plans homecoming, prom, and other student events.

Yearbook

The yearbook club provides students with the opportunity to assist in yearbook sales, photography, and design. Students help to promote yearbook sales by making posters and distributing yearbook information. Students also assist in designing the pages of the yearbook. Students are also provided with the opportunity to take yearbook photos. It’s a great experience for students to be truly involved with their school! High schoolers can participate in the yearbook through our elective course offering, while middle schoolers can participate in our after-school yearbook club.

Spanish Club

ECA’s Spanish club invites students of all nationalities to come to learn about and celebrate Hispanic heritage and culture. The Spanish club organizes anything from international trips to fiestas.

Drama Club

Drama club gives students an opportunity to participate in creative dramatic activities which include performances in front of an audience. Members will be exposed to different aspects of theatre including impromptu skits, monologues, blocking, playwriting, and prop selection and use. The club will work on creative thinking skills, encourage teamwork, and provide students with enriched learning experiences in the area of performing arts. ECA’s drama club puts on multiple performances throughout the school year.

Art Club

The Art Club is a place for practicing artists to hone in on their skills, develop their techniques and portfolios, collaborate with other artists like themselves, create bonds with the community through the arts, and learn how to work together through group projects that will beautify the school and community.

Environmental Club

The purpose of the club is to create awareness of environmental issues, such as protection, conservation, preservation, and restoration, with an emphasis on educating and empowering students. Students who are interested in environmental advocacy and awareness are encouraged to join.

Joi Club

JOI Stands for Junior Optimist International. Students who are involved in Junior Optimist Clubs learn about and practice good citizenship, teamwork, communication, and money management. They feel good about themselves and have high self-esteem. Junior Optimist exposes Members to Optimism as a philosophy of life, provides Members with an improved sense of kindness, increased awareness for those in need, and a better sense of coping with cultural diversity. It also provides members the opportunity to complete community service hours required for graduation.

Tabletop Gaming

The Tabletop Gaming Club (TGC) is a club for students who enjoy any strategy, fantasy, cooperative, adventure, role-playing, or deck-building games. Games like Magic the Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons are the backbone of our club, but we enjoy tabletop games of all types.

GSA

The base of GSA’s framework is to serve as a safe space for members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies. GSA organizes around issues impacting them in school or in their community. ECA’s GSA club conducts anything from forums to fundraisers to promote awareness.

4H STEM Club

4‑H empowers young people with the skills to lead for a lifetime. It’s a research-based experience that includes a mentor, a hands-on project, and a meaningful leadership opportunity. ECA’s 4 H STEM club gives students experiential opportunities in chemistry, physics, computer science, etc.

Cooking Club

The Cooking Club was created to stimulate, foster, and promote students’ interest in the culinary arts. It is our desire to teach different cooking techniques, explore the professional foodservice industry, and most importantly provide students a fun and
creative outlet while developing leadership and cooperation skills. ECA’s cooking club is a student-led club where students meet weekly to cook an item that they voted for. This club allows students to develop teamwork and administrative skills, math and measuring skills, and basic science and cooking skills. Join up and embark on a new culinary adventure, become a foodie, and make new friends.
