Mrs. Susan Davis

High School Guidance Counselor

I was hired in 2008 as ECA’s school counselor and as an instructor of taekwondo.  I currently serve as the school’s Director of Student Success which encompasses the following departments-English Language Learners, Gifted and Talented, Special Education, and Counseling.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Metro State College of Denver and a Master’s degree in School/Community counseling from the University of Phoenix.

About me-

I have been training in Taekwondo since 2001.  I have been an instructor since 2003. I am a certified instructor (including many local and national instructor courses) and a certified referee.  I tested for V Dan (degree) black belt in September of 2015.

I am married with 3 children all currently attending college-2 at CSU and one at the University of Wyoming.  I love to be active and spend time with family.  I enjoy beautiful Colorado and when I’m not outside enjoying many various activities, you might find me reading a good book.

One of my passions has been competition of various sorts.  My personal achievements include medals in sparring and breaking at countless local competitions as well as national and International competitions in California, Washington and Colorado.   I even won gold and silver in Australia in 2013!

Outside of Taekwondo, I have competed in various other sports including marathons, triathlons, and bodybuilding.  I also played competitive volleyball and basketball in college and currently play in a women’s basketball league.
