Absolom Herrera is an attorney at the Pearman Law Firm, a general practice law firm in Wheat Ridge, CO, where he has experience working in a variety of different areas of law, but particularly in family law. Prior to joining the Pearman Law Firm in 2016, he participated in a variety of different legal externships, including serving as an in-house counsel extern for both TriZetto Corporation, a large for-profit company in Greenwood Village, and Groundwork Denver, a smaller environmental non-profit organization in Denver. He also served as an independent legal contractor for Welltok, Inc., a medical software company located in downtown Denver. In addition to his legal work, Absolom has also worked at his family’s restaurant, Los Arcos Mexican Restaurant in Westminster, for over 18 years where he continues to volunteer his time on Friday nights. Absolom has a degree in both Business Management and Finance, a minor in Leadership, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law.
Absolom joined the board of the Early College of Arvada (ECA) in 2017 as a way to serve and positively impact the students that ECA serves. Serving as one of the directors/pastors of the youth department at his church, and formerly serving as the director of the children’s department, ignited a desire in him to try to reach young people in a different way and to encourage their pursuit of higher education and training. He is particularly passionate about inspiring and mentoring underrepresented/minority students to pursue dreams of bettering themselves and pushing past barriers, as he himself was fortunate to experience in his youth.
Absolom is a native of Colorado and enjoys spending his free time with his family, serving in his church, going to the movies, playing and teaching music, and reading.
