College Orientation

In order to provide families more information about ECA’s programs and curriculum, and to better support the success of students in our college classes, ECA will be hosting a required orientation for parents and students that will be taking college classes in the coming school year. This includes parents of 10th, 11th, and 12th graders.

The orientation will be held on ECA’s campus on Thursday August 18th at 6pm. If you and your student are unable to make it, please contact us to make alternate arrangements.

The orientation will provide an overview of the early college model, clarify ECA’s concurrent enrollment policies, lay out college expectations, review supports available to students taking college classes, and provide students and parents with opportunities to ask questions of ECA staff. The orientation will include presentations by administrators, teachers, board members, alumni, and parents.

The orientation will include explanations of many of the materials covered in our newly created Concurrent Enrollment Handbook, which is designed as a resource for ECA students and families.
