Tomorrow evening at 5:00 p.m. there will be an informational and enrollment meeting for those interested in visiting Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands in the summer of 2018. Spots for this tour are limited and will fill up fast. Come with us and snorkel in the Galapagos, see wildlife that you will see no where else in the world and visit with a Native American community high up in the Andes. Hope to see you at the meeting.
There will be a field trip this Thursday to the Denver Zoo for students in the G/T SSM who turned in the permission slip. There will be an announcement calling students up after 1st period and they'll return by 2pm. If you're not sure whether or not you're on the list, ask Mr. Conrad or Mr. Collins during SSM.
This is another reminder that we will have standardized testing taking place next week. The testing will run from Tuesday April 19th to Friday April 22nd.
You will not have any regularly scheduled classes next week and not every student will need to be in the building every day.
On Tuesday the 19th we will be administering the ACT and PSAT. 8th grade students but also be taking the science test on that day.
On Wednesday all 6th 7th 8th and 9th graders will be in the building taking the English and language arts portion of the test.
On Thursday and Friday we will be taking the math portion of the test. The date that you come in will depend on your grade level and what math class you are currently taking.
We are very confident and our students and how well you will perform on the test.
Social Justice Club will meet on Thursday, April 7 this week due to a staff meeting.
If you are participating in the Indigo group starting next week, please give your permission form to Ms Gross or Ms Davis by the end of the day today (Friday).
Tickets for the Spring Musical "Sleepy Hollow" are on sale before and after school at the front desk and at lunch in the lunchroom. Tickets will also be available at the door if they don't sell out. The show runs April 8 & 9, student tickets are $10.00 and Adult tickets are $12.00. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:00pm at Simpson's United Methodist church across the parking lot. Listen up runners! There will not be an organized training run today due to Dr Ladd’s absence. However, you are more then welcome and encouraged to gather together and run around the lake with your fellow ECAers. We will restart our training runs again on Thursday.
The ECA mock election results are in, and the winner was Bernie Sanders! Sanders won with 39% of the student vote. Hilary Clinton came in second place, and Marco Rubio was third. Thanks for voting, everyone!
Kick off to yearbook sales spirit week starts next Monday. ’Merica Monday: wear your red, white, and blue; Twister Tuesday: wear polka dots or be colorful; Western Wednesday: dress up in your cowboy/cowgirl gear; Tacky Thursday: dress like a tourist; and Black Out Friday. Be sure to dress up, especially if you want to be in the yearbook.
This is a reminder for students attending our field trip to the Wings over the Rockies Air and Space Museum that our trip is this coming Thursday. We will be departing ECA around 10:30 and returning by 2pm. Please bring a lunch as there will be no opportunities to get food on the field trip.
