I was born in California, but raised in Columbus, Ohio. For 18 years I looked forward to being a Buckeye and was excited to attend The Ohio State University. During my last year at Ohio State, I visited Colorado for the first time and knew that is where I wanted to begin my next chapter.
When I’m not at school, you can find me coaching or playing volleyball, or taking care of my pet bunny, Wrigley. I am a huge sports fan, specifically the Chicago Cubs (if you couldn’t tell by my bunny’s name) and all things Ohio State. I also love to read, travel, and bake all kinds of desserts.
Why I Teach
I have never wanted to be anything other than a teacher. My love of math made it easy to find my calling as a math educator. After coaching middle school volleyball, I realized that this was the age group that I was meant to teach. Knowing that I teach one of the most hated subjects by students, I love to show them the joy in understanding a math concept. My goal as an educator is to instill the passion that I have for mathematics into my students.
